Burano is a little island near Venice, Italy and is known for its colorful buildings. It’s also a great place for lunch. Here are a few shots of Burano from our recent trip to Venice. All shots on Fujifilm TX2 and Kodak Portra160.
We recently spent some time in one of my favorite Italian cities, Venice. From that visit I have a few series to post. The first is gondolas and gondoliers.

I had the pleasure to attend the Washington DC March for Science protest a few weeks ago. Here are a few shots from that rainy but nonetheless awesome day. All shots are with a Nikon F100 on Kodak TX400.
Or maybe I should call it buildings or architecture, well, no matter, you’ll get the idea. Organized by city: New York Chicago

Here are a few random images from a couple of trips to the Jersey shore last Summer. The first 3 are from Ocean City, NJ boardwalk and the rest are from Asbury Park boardwalk. All shot with a Nikon F6 on Cinestill 800T.

When I was visiting Asbury Park recently I stumbled across an interesting “parade”, well sort of anyway. The Budweiser clydesdale team (and wagon of course) showed up near the boardwalk and did a little procession down the street. They drew quite a crowd as well. Here are a few images from that afternoon, all shot […]

I love Kodak TX400 and have used it and the old version of TriX for almost as long as I’ve been a photographer. It’s a great high speed black and white film that deals with pushing really well. Since I like available light photography it has always suited me and my style. Now it does […]
I am often questioned on why I switched back to film from digital, and why I keep shooting film. There are a lot of good reasons to choose either film or digital, in the end it’s how you feel the most inspired and free to create whatever it is that you want to bring out, […]
I spend a lot of my photographic energy on documentary and street photography. I’m particularly enamoured in capturing people doing things naturally and in the context of the everyday, so of course candid portraits are a big part of that effort. I don’t go out of my way to conceal that I’m taking pictures but […]

This Fall I had the chance to go on a cycling trip in Tuscany. During the trip we explored several cities, Pisa, Vinci, Florence, and as you’d expect they are as spectacular as ever. The city that really stands out though, is one that I had not visited before, Lucca. Lucca is an old city, […]
