Day One - 365 Project
FujiFilm GFX100 RF
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
For years, the camera has been my way of learning to see; not just the world out there, but my own life, routines, and surroundings with more attention and honesty. Somewhere along the way, that sense of discovery got buried under work, deadlines, and the familiar ruts of habit, even as the cameras themselves became more capable. This project is my deliberate attempt to reclaim that original curiosity and to give my creative muscles the one thing they can’t fake: daily practice.
For the next 365 days, I’ll make one photograph every day and publish it here; not as a quest for “perfect” images, but as a commitment to having new eyes. Some days the subject will be obvious; other days it will hide in plain sight on my desk, in my backyard, or on a quiet street. The constraint is simple: one frame, one day, no skipping. The goal is less about producing a portfolio and more about rebuilding a habit of attention, letting the camera teach me, again, how to see without it.
If you’d like to follow along, think of this as a year-long conversation between curiosity and discipline, between the ordinary and whatever it becomes when you really look at it. My hope is that, by the end of these 365 days, the landscapes themselves won’t have changed much, but I will have.
